Each year the Congressional Research Service publishes over 1,000 reports on a broad range of topics at a cost of $100 million to taxpayers. Unfortunately, CRS is not able to publish these reports for public consumption. They are the private property of Congress. Rep. Leonard Lance (R-NJ) is leading the charge for more transparency by advocating for these CRS reports to be made public.

The IRS, FBI, EPA and other federal agencies are violating taxpayers' Fourth Amendment rights through the Electronic Communications Privacy Act. The ECPA is an outdated piece of legislation from 1986 that is being used by federal agencies to gain access to personal information on the Internet without a warrant.
